About Club Read

Club Read is a free program that offers children and teens the opportunity to have fun while keeping track of their reading.

Club Read is a celebration of reading for children who read at all levels, even pre-readers who are still being read to.

It’s an opportunity for kids to join friends and neighbors in a common activity, to read books of their own choosing instead of what they must read for school, to feel the sense of accomplishment that comes from completing a goal, and to experience the fun of earning a prize in acknowledgement of their efforts.

It’s easy to participate, it’s fun, and it’s free!

There are two ways to join, participants can log their progression online or bookmark reading logs may be picked up at the Library starting June 1. Each age group has their own: Babies, Toddlers, and Preschoolers; Grades K-5; and Grades 6-12. participants

Choose the reading program. Read either 20 books or read for 10 hours and receive a book from the Youth Services desk at any Library District branch. Turn in the reading log bookmark or show us your online badge for your prize, and to enter the grand prize drawing.

The Library District is planning some great programs and activities as part of Club Read. Many are perfect for the whole family!
