Centennial Hills Library - March 25, 2008
Centennial Hills Library - March 25, 2008
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Flash movie.
With careful financial planning over the last couple of years, the District has saved more than $20 million in its Capital Projects Fund to build a new library in the fast-growing Centennial Hills area of the Valley’s northwest. The project became a reality as a result of the agreement between the District and Henderson District Public Libraries that modified the Henderson District’s boundaries to be the same as those of the City of Henderson. The District’s Green Valley Library, located in the City of Henderson, will transfer to Henderson District ownership on January 1, 2009.

When this transfer happens, the District will be able to shift its resources, both staff and materials, from the Henderson area to the Centennial Hills Library, targeted to open simultaneously with the transfer of the Green Valley Library. The Centennial Hills Library will be the first new District branch since the Sahara West Library opened in 1997.
