About the Library:
The Goodsprings Library serves the smallest community in Clark County
with only 170 residents, but this little town is full of history. In 1968
the Goodsprings Library was started in the living room of an old mining
house owned by the parents of the librarian. In 1970 it was moved
into its existing trailer. It houses over 5,000 volumes.
Directions:
Head south on I-15 to Jean, Nevada, and turn right on State Hwy 161.
Head west for 7 miles and you will reach the quaint little mining town
of Goodsprings. The library is on the left just behind the Post Office,
which is next door to the Goodsprings "One Room" School. This is the oldest
continuously operating school in Nevada.
