Opened in 2009, the 45,555 SF Centennial Hills Library is located at the intersection of N. Buffalo Drive and Deer Springs Way, adjacent to the Centennial Hills Park. The building is LEED certified gold, meaning it is constructed to reduce negative environmental impacts and improve occupant health and well-being.

The library offers:

  • A well-rounded collection of books, magazines, newspapers, DVDs, music CDs and audio books
  • A 22-seat Adult Computer Lab, 12 family resource computers, 8 children's computers, free Wi-Fi, and wireless printing

The Las Vegas Library is in the heart of the Cultural Corridor on the northern edge of downtown Las Vegas. The Las Vegas Library serves as a federal and state government depository. Other specialized collections include gaming and local history. The Las Vegas Library also houses topographical maps covering Nevada and the surrounding states. Other amenities include free Wi-Fi, private study rooms, a conference room, three outdoor patios, microfilm scanner, computer lab, self-service fax machine and a separate teen zone. Additionally, the Las Vegas Library has one of the largest Spanish language collections for both children and adults.

The 813-square-foot Meadows Library is located inside the new Stupak Community Center that opened January 4, 2010. On the east side of the Las Vegas Valley near Sunrise Mountain and close to Nellis Air Force Base, the Sunrise Library has been providing library services for a multicultural, multilingual, multigenerational population since 1987.

The West Las Vegas Library is a gathering place for the community. It features the African American Special Collection consisting of specialized materials by and about African Americans, and the Library District's first dedicated Homework Help Center. The 1,540-square-foot Center adjacent to the Young People's Library offers core print and electronic materials for students K-12 with a 20-seat dedicated homework help computer lab. Tutoring services are offered during the school year. The branch also offers free wireless Internet access and houses a 298-seat theatre.

The Blue Diamond Library was opened in 1970 in a small trailer purchased with a Federal Library Grant. In 1989, a local Blue Diamond resident constructed a new 1,000-square-foot library, which opened in 1992. It now houses over 7,000 volumes and serves the 260 residents of Blue Diamond.

The Goodsprings Library serves the smallest community in Clark County with only 170 residents, but this little town is full of history. In 1968 the Goodsprings Library was started in the living room of an old mining house owned by the parents of the librarian. In 1970 it was moved into its existing trailer. The 900-square-foot branch houses over 5,000 volumes.

The growing community of Sandy Valley began in the 1800s as the four mining communities of Kingston, Sandy, Ripley and Platina. Very little is left of the mining era, and over 2,300 horse lovers and rural folks reside here now. The library, which started as a closet in the old Community Center in 1984, now occupies 1,200 square feet with over 6,200 volumes in a new shared Community Center/Library. The mining town of Searchlight opened its first library in 1969 and moved into a new joint facility in 1989. Constructed with Federal Block Grant money, the 1,200-square-foot library shares the building with the Health Clinic and the Searchlight Museum. It houses over 7,000 items.
