This service was established to provide needed information to those patrons of the Library District who, by medical necessity, are restricted to their homes on a long-term basis. A letter from the personal physician, on letterhead, is required to be held on file. The letter must state that, in the opinion of the physician, the patron is indeed homebound. It is requested that the letter also state the length of time the patron is expected to be homebound.

This service is not intended to serve those with minor injuries which are temporary in nature.

Once a person is identified as no longer being homebound the Department is to be notified and the patron will be removed from homebound status.
