For residents of Clark County, Nevada

Please do not complete this form if you already have a Las Vegas-Clark County Library District library card. Your current card is good for accessing all on-line products. This application is for patrons new to the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District.

After submitting this form a library card will be mailed to you. Upon receiving your library card, customers residing within the taxing district of the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District will have immediate access to our research databases and ebooks. Clark County customers residing outside the Library District's taxing area may access state-purchased databases indicated by the state symbol.

The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District strives to develop a collection of library materials that serves the needs of people of all ages and all interests. Given the diverse nature of the collection, not all materials are suitable for all patrons.

Parents or legal guardians have the right and responsibility to determine what materials are appropriate for their own children. The Library District encourages parents to be involved with their child’s use of the library and to guide their child’s selection of library materials in keeping with their family values.

Young People’s Librarians are available and happy to assist families in the selection of appropriate materials. For more information about resources for children, Internet access and safety in the library, please click on About the Library, then Library Publications and Policies, or review the brochure entitled “A Parent’s Guide to Using the Library,” available at any Las Vegas-Clark County Library District branch.

In order to check materials out you must activate your library card by visiting the circulation desk at any branch. Bring your new card and present a picture ID verifying your name and current residence. If you are under 14, you will need to bring a parent/guardian with you to activate your card for in-library use.

When you activate your card to check out materials you can also register your e-mail address. We will notify you by e-mail when your requested items are available or if you have overdue materials. You may also register for your PIN (personal identification number) to manage your library account on-line.
