HOW TO ENTER
Entry packets will be available starting on September 1, 2017.
Download an entry packet or pick one up at your local Las Vegas-Clark County Library District branch (please go to www.lvccld.org/about/locations.cfm for a list of locations and hours). Print the entry packet one-sided on letter-sized paper "8.5"x"11".
The entry packet contains two forms that must be completed and submitted together: the Photo/Creative Works Release Form, and the Participant Entry & Design Form. Please fill out the required information and create your drawing within the exact space provided on the Entry & Design Form. Both forms must be included for an entry to be considered for judging.
Completed entry packets must be received by Saturday, September 30, 2017, before midnight. Entry packets can be submitted in two ways:
Either by scanning and emailing to firstname.lastname@example.org in JPEG, PDF, EPS, GIF, or PNG format; scans must be 300 dpi to be eligible; or
By dropping them off at any Las Vegas-Clark County Library District branch by close of business on September 30, 2017.
Create an original drawing or design that reflects what the library means to you!
Artwork must be original with no similarity or likeness to existing characters or copyrighted designs. Computer generated images are okay as long as they are your original creation and do not contain clip art. Artwork must fit within the space parameters outlined on the Participant Entry & Design Form.
Once artwork is completed, participants are encouraged to post their creations on their own social media channels, tagging the Library District with the hashtag: #GetCarded.
No compensation will be paid for the use of any artwork submitted. All artwork submitted becomes the property of the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District and cannot be returned.
It is not required to have a library card to take part in this contest.
Winners must be residents of Clark County, Nevada.
Las Vegas-Clark County Library District employees and their immediate families are not eligible to participate.
After the entry deadline, finalists will be selected by the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District Judging Panel. Finalists’ entries will be posted on the Library’s Facebook pages for voting in October 2017.
Entries will be judged on their merit. Final winner(s) will be selected based in part on the Facebook voting results and at the sole discretion and judgment of the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District Judging Panel to comply with branding guidelines. Winner(s) will be notified after the public voting process has closed and the Judging Panel has completed their work.
Winning artwork will be used to create the 2017-2018 library cards for the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District.
