When someone says ‘Senior Citizen’ we’ve got to stop picturing our Grandmothers. Ageism is stereotyping and discrimination on the basis of a person’s age. It is a combination of prejudicial attitudes toward older people, old age, and ageing itself. Like racism and sexism, ageism serves a social and economic purpose: To legitimize and sustain inequalities between groups. Change your vocabulary, change your life. Change your attitude, change your world. Join us for this interactive workshop on Self-Inflicted Ageing. Learn the steps you can take and things you can do to help yourself and your community.
