Nevada State Health Insurance Assistance Program (NV SHIP)
Come learn the answers to your Medicare questions! 30-minute presentations by State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) provides Medicare beneficiaries, their families, and caregivers with free, unbiased information about Medicare. Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP): educates Medicare beneficiaries, their families, and caregivers on how to protect themselves, detect and report Medicare fraud and abuse. Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act (MIPPA): helps lower income Medicare beneficiaries apply for Extra Help to assist with the Medicare Part D premiums, deductibles, and co-pays. Also offers other programs to assist with chronic diseases and Alzheimer’s. Free admission and open to the public. Co-sponsored by LVCCLD and Nevada State Aging and Disability Services Division.
