The IRS vs. the Chicago Outfit

Author: January is Mob Month

Every Tuesday night at 7 p.m. in the month of January, Clark County Library examines the popular culture & history of organized crime with a series of programs featuring former mobsters, law enforcement officials, educators, authors, journalists and eye witnesses-- those who've survived, remembered, were investigated or conducted investigations during the height of Mob influence in Las Vegas & throughout America.

Ex-mobsters Frank Cullotta and Tony Montana with mob author Dennis Griffin (Cullotta, Surviving The Mob, The Battle For Las Vegas, Policing Las Vegas) sit down with current Las Vegas IRS Criminal Investigations agent Paul Camacho and retired Chicago IRS agent Tom Moriarty to discuss what really happened, how Hollywood got it wrong, and what’s going on in the Windy City today.

All Mob Month events are intended for mature audiences. Book sales/signings will be available at the events with authors. Free and open to the public. Seating is first-come, first-served. Entry wristbands will be issued at 6 p.m. from the theater box office on the night of the program only. For more information, please call 507-3458.
