Herb Russell is an artist, illustrator, painter and cartoonist. He created a 2011 calendar featuring his Crazy Hares, where he interprets classic paintings and replaces the figures with cartoon rabbits. His painting, Mid West Farmer won Best of Show in the 2011 Celebrating Life Competition sponsored by the Las Vegas Arts Commission. He continues to receive many awards for his work in the fine arts and his humorous illustrations of Hares. He is a member of the Nevada Watercolor Society and exhibits regularly at the Art from the Heart Art Gallery and Artist Cooperative.
