Pregnant Neon: a Tale of Conspicious Devotion

This exhibition of new works by Richard Hooker is a series of 10 mixed media shrine-inspired installations, each built around a single word or text inscripted in neon. Richard was the Urban Arts Coordinator for the city of Las Vegas for over a decade and had projects for the city that included working with the Neon Museum, the Vegas Valley Book Festival, and liaison between the city and the 18bArts District. In 2013 he received the Nevada Humanity Award. He had worked for the Sante Fe Council for the Arts and New Mexico Arts before moving to Las Vegas in 1998.
