Join us for a Young People's Meet the Artist performance outreach event, featuring special guest choreographer and visiting artist-in-residence, Elisa Monte, and the Las Vegas Contemporary Dance Theater (LVCDT) under the direction of its founding artistic director, Bernard H. Gaddis. With the vision and passion to bring the elegance, grace, discipline and dignity that is dance to all classes, all cultures and all walks of life LVCDT motivates youth to better the community as a whole.

California Theatre Center's production of Most Valuable Player

Witness the internationally acclaimed drama about the life of Jackie Robinson. Through a series of moving flashbacks that chronicle Jackie's life from childhood to his professional career, the play celebrates the life of an extraordinary man fighting a tough battle against prejudice to become the first black major league baseball player. Come along as Jackie faces bitter confrontations on the way to one of his greatest moments of triumph - receiving the Most Valuable Player award for the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1949. For grades 3 and up.

This program takes us on an hour-long journey through the roots, rituals and reasons of jazz, as well as exploring its future. Through music, visual arts, dance, singing and storytelling, jazz idol Woody Woods has shaped a cornucopia of sight and sound that tells a proud history of our country's indigenous art form.
