How to Use netLibrary eBooks
Ebooks
are electronic copies of published works, which can
be "checked out" and read on your computer through the
netLibrary web site.
Getting
started:
- Create
an account:
Before you can use netLibrary eBooks you will need
to create an account with a username and password
that will serve as your "virtual library card".
Only residents of the Las Vegas-Clark County Library
District may access our eBook collection. You can
access eBooks from home or from in our libraries.
When you click on the link in this section, you
will be be asked for your 14-digit library card
number. Click on the "Create Account" button and
follow the instructions. I am ready to create
an account
-
Search for an eBook or eAudio Book:
-
Browse an eBook Online:
Just
like in the library, you may take a look at a book
before you decide to check it out. An eBook is previewed
in 15-minute increments; after 15 minutes of inactivity
the eBook is released and may be checked out by another
patron. You may browse a book without creating an
account.
-
Read an eBook Online:
Checking
out an eBook gives you exclusive access to that book
for the duration of the checkout period (48 hours).
Ebooks are automatically "checked in" when the checkout
period expires. If you finish using the item early,
please remember to return it by clicking on the "check
in" option. You may check out up to 7 eBooks at a
time.
