Not many of us look forward to taking a standardized test! Fortunately, there are a number of test preparation resources available at the library. The library has books, videos and test preparation software for many topics including civil service jobs like the ones listed below. We also have materials that will help you pass your GED and score high on the SAT! You'll also find a quiet place to study at our libraries.

 Study Guide Zone
Free resources for anyone else who wants to improve his or her score on a standardized test. The site provides help for four different kinds of tests: admission exams that are part of an application to school; licensing exams required for certification in professions like teaching and nursing; vocational exams for professional schools and the military; and primary and secondary school exams for students in elementary, middle, and high school. Many of the exam pages listed in the Test Directory contain links to practice questions composed by test experts. Also, there is a Study Tips section with advice on taking tests, writing research papers, and getting the most the classroom.
