Anita Watson - Excerpt 1 Transcript
(Reno, Nevada; August 15, 2001)

VC: What would you consider Jean Ford's legacy?

AW: I think that maybe,(AWatson1) if I were going to describe Jean, she was a facilitator, she was really significant for bringing women together and establishing these networks. She understood, I think, from her years in politics and her years with other women's clubs and organizations, she understood how important networking was, that if you introduce one woman to another woman and it just snowballs and the information grows, it's really significant, it's really important, and it's one of the best ways to get stuff done, and that's what Jean did, she facilitated women and she got things done,(AWatson1) so that, possibly, is her most important legacy.
