JEAN FORD - A NEVADA WOMAN LEADS THE WAY
When Jean was
diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in September 1997 her name was
already on a list of Nevadans to be interviewed for the University
of Nevada's Oral History Program. The illness made her history the
program's top priority, and Victoria Ford, an associate oral historian
with the program, began to interview Jean the following month. Interview
sessions, which resulted in over forty hours on tape, lasted until
January 1998. The result - Jean Ford: A Nevada Woman Leads the
Way - is an entertaining and honest look at Jean's personal and
professional life. It provides information about political, social,
and business aspects of Nevada, and is available at libraries throughout
Nevada. Find a copy at a Nevada library.
