Nevada Women's
Archives (NWA):
While
teaching women's studies classes Jean became aware of the scarcity
of information available about the history of women in Nevada. In
her typical "take action" manner, Jean decided to address
the subject by seeking papers from women about their personal and
public accomplishments. This project became the Nevada Women's Archives
(NWA) in the Special Collections Department of the UNR Library.
With this collecting focus UNR was able to expand its collections
of personal papers of northern Nevada women and records of organizations
and issues of interest to women.
