SUFFRAGIST PLAYS

While pursuing her interest in women's history, Jean discovered another of her talents. She wrote several dramas about the history of the suffrage movement in Nevada. One of these dramas, "The Saga of Sara Bard Field and her Nevada Suffrage Connection", was scheduled for performances across the northern part of the state when Jean received her diagnosis of terminal illness. In spite of her illness, Jean made the trip, narrating the play in seven performances in five days, from Virginia City to Eureka to Ely.
