8th Annual Visual Poetry Contest.
The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District is sponsoring our eighth annual Visual Poetry contest for students in middle and high school. The Visual Poetry contest is a juried photographic competition created to encourage the participation of local teenagers in showcasing their creativity in the visual arts. The Award winners and additional pieces will have their photographs exhibited at the formal Art Gallery at the Rainbow Library. They may also be chosen to be in our virtual gallery on our Teen Zone website.
Students are limited to three entries and will need to fill out an Entry Form in PDF format , Microsoft Word Format.
Contest dates: October 12-November 30, 2008
Art work can be dropped off at the Youth Services Department in any library branch in the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District.
Gallery exhibit: January 6-March 8, 2009 at the Rainbow Library
Awards reception: Tuesday, January 6, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. at the Rainbow Library.

$100.00: 1st Place
$75.00: 2nd Place
